Lauren DelGandio will serve as Program Director for Operation Sacred Trust, OST, a $1 million grant project funded by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Supportive Services for Veteran Families Initiative. OST is a collaboration between Carrfour Supportive Housing, PAIRS Foundation, Citrus Health Network, and Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida designed to prevent and reduce homelessness among Veteran families in Broward and Miami-Dade counties.
Mrs. DelGandio served as Assistant Project Director of a $5.5 million federal grant project funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services since 2007 and as a National PAIRS Trainer since 2009. In those roles, Mrs. DelGandio taught relationship skills classes to thousands of couples, singles and high school youth and trained more than 300 VA Chaplains and behavioral health professionals serving Veteran families nationwide.
Seth Eisenberg, President of PAIRS Foundation, said Mrs. DelGandio?s commitment to Veteran families and direct experience working with VA leaders and Veterans made her a natural choice to direct Operation Sacred Trust.
?Lauren?s passion for serving Veterans, proven organizational, planning and leadership skills will help prevent and end homelessness for Veteran families in South Florida and provide a model that can be replicated throughout the country,? Mr. Eisenberg said.
Originally from New York, Mrs. DelGandio and her husband of 19 years have three children and live in Weston, Florida.
