The Plant restaurant in SF is a great organic meal.

On Friday I flew out to California in order to attend the biggest organic trade show of the year, Natural Products Expo West, which begins this week.

My trip started in San Francisco, and soon after arriving I went to dinner at a great organic restaurant called The Plant Cafe Organic. Here?s what I had.

CARROT APPLE JUICE

GRAPEFRUIT & AVOCADO SALAD

Along with avocado and grapefruit, the salad had arugula, fennel and black-macadamia nut dressing.

GINGER MISO QUINOA BOWL WITH SEASONAL VEGETABLES

The more and more I visit San Francisco, the more that The Plant is becoming a must-visit restaurant. Why?

The food is very fresh and great-tasting, I like the wide variety of the menu, and the commitment to organic is outstanding ? everything they serve is made with 100% local and organic ingredients. Plus, The Plant (veggie) burgers, which I normally get, are spectacular.

It is clear that I am not the only fan of this restaurant. The Plant now has four locations in San Francisco, including one at the SFO airport, and no slowdown appears in sight.

I love seeing organic restaurants grow and succeed ? and serve excellent meals.
